Moisés
Medina Aguirre, de 17 años de edad, representará a Chimalhuacán y al Estado de
México en la Competencia Nacional de Boxeo que se llevará a cabo el próximo 20
de Mayo en Monterrey, Nuevo León.
Su
próxima participación del chimalhuacano la obtuvo tras imponerse en diversos
torneos regionales y estatales realizados durante el último semestre en la
entidad mexiquense.
“El
boxeo es mi pasión, comencé a practicarlo desde el año 2012 y lo hice por salud,
ya que tenía obesidad y quería bajar de peso; conforme entrenaba me fui
adaptando y ahora es una práctica muy agradable”, indicó el pugilista.
Mencionó,
que en esta competencia tendrá rivales muy fuertes, como los deportistas de
Baja California, Jalisco, Chihuahua y Coahuila, por mencionar algunos, por
ello, junto a su entrenador Alex Bautista, se prepara diariamente en
instalaciones municipales.
“Mi
sueño es representar a México y a Chimalhuacán en unos juegos olímpicos, por
eso estoy entrenando muy fuerte para obtener el primer lugar en la competencia
nacional y posteriormente ser convocado a la selección y competir en las
próximas Olimpiadas del 2020 en Tokio”.
Cabe
destacar que esta es la segunda participación de Medina Aguirre en una competencia
nacional; en el pasado certamen obtuvo el cuarto lugar tras caer en las
semifinales.
“Invito
a niños y jóvenes chimalhuacanos a practicar el boxeo, ya que además de mejorar
su salud también aprenden disciplina, forjan su carácter, entre otros beneficios”,
concluyó el boxeador.
El
Museo Chimaltonalli, Historia y Vida de Chimalhuacán, presenta un 90 por ciento
de avance y se espera que abra sus puertas durante el primer semestre del
presente año.
“Este
museo tiene como objetivo fomentar la identidad y difundir la historia de la
entidad para que las nuevas generaciones conozcan nuestras raíces”.
El
recinto ubicado en las instalaciones del Rancho El Molino contará con un acervo
museográfico de 400 objetos divididos en nueves salas con siete ejes temáticos.
“Identidad,
Prehistoria, Prehispánico-Colonial, Cerro y Lago, Carnaval, Nuevo Chimalhuacán
y Rancho El Molino son parte de los temas en los que estará dividido el museo y
donde se expondrán piezas como figuras prehispánicas, fotografías y trajes de
carnaval”, señalaron.
Los
asistentes podrán visitar la capilla del Rancho en la que se proyectará un
vídeo con la historia de las iglesias del municipio; asimismo, en las salas se
transmitirán algunos audiovisuales con fotos de Chimalhuacán y el
tradicional Carnaval Sin Fronteras.
Autoridades
del museo informaron que esperan una asistencia semanal superior a las dos mil
personas; se instrumentarán visitas guiadas para grupos de adultos mayores,
escuelas y familias quienes podrán participar en las actividades interactivas.
Asimismo,
el recinto contará con una tienda donde los visitantes podrán adquirir objetos
representativos del municipio como esculturas de cantera, postales, piezas de
carnaval, entre otros.
Cabe
destacar que todas las piezas con las que cuenta el museo fueron donadas por
familias originarias del municipio, quienes contribuyeron a preservar la
historia e identidad de Chimalhuacán.
*El
programa inició en el 2013 como una iniciativa para evitar inundaciones
Con
la finalidad de mejorar la imagen urbana y mantener limpio el municipio, la
población participa en el programa Limpia tu calle, cuida el espacio en el que
vives; el cual se realizará cada quince días, como una forma de reducir la
contaminación del medio ambiente, informaron autoridades de Chimalhuacán.
“Realizábamos
esta actividad el tercer sábado de cada mes; sin embargo, decidimos acortar el
periodo limpiando las calles cada dos semanas a fin de que los ciudadanos hagan
conciencia para mantener limpias las calles de nuestro municipio".
Agregaron,
que estas jornadas quincenales arrancaron en su primera etapa el primero de
abril y finalizará el 3 de junio; limpiaran calles y vialidades del territorio
local.
A
esta primera jornada de limpieza acudieron más de 500 ciudadanos que levantaron
cerca de 50 toneladas de basura que se encontraba en banquetas, alcantarillado,
camellones, pavimento, áreas verdes y espacios públicos.
La
faena se realizó en 11 mil 750 metros de la Cabecera Municipal y alrededores,
en calles y avenidas como; 16 de septiembre, Corregidora, Aldama, Venustiano
Carranza, San Miguel, Acuitlapilco, Arca de Noé, Arenal, entre otras.
Cabe
destacar que el programa Limpia tu calle, cuida el espacio en el que vives
inició en el año 2013, con el objetivo de evitar inundaciones y mejorar la
imagen urbana del municipio.
Instructores
de la Federación Mexicana de Natación (FMN) se reunieron en la alberca olímpica
Noé Hernández, en Chimalhuacán, para recibir un curso de certificación a fin de
mejorar técnicas y habilidades.
“La
alberca olímpica de Chimalhuacán cumple con los lineamientos que debe tener un
inmueble de su tipo. Tiene medidas oficiales y cuenta con una fosa de clavados
de plataformas de 3, 5, 7 y 10 metros de altura. Es una infraestructura que nos
permite trabajar y capacitarnos”, afirmaron entrenadores de la FMN.
El
curso impartido a instructores fue avalado por la Comisión Nacional del Deporte
(CONADE) con el objetivo de supervisar los conocimientos, habilidades y
técnicas de los preparadores; cumpliendo con estándares de competencia nacional
e internacional.
Contó
con 34 participantes procedentes de municipios mexiquenses como Chimalhuacán,
Ixtapaluca, Texcoco, Chicoloapan, Tepetlaoxtoc y Nezahualcóyotl, así como
instructores de la Ciudad de México y Puebla”.
El
taller estuvo integrado por cinco módulos, a través de los cuales los
entrenadores reforzaron sus conocimientos teóricos y prácticos en alto
rendimiento e investigación.
Por
último, instructores de la FMN anunciaron que durante este año la alberca
olímpica Noé Hernández será sede de diversos eventos de natación y contará con
la presencia de atletas nacionales a fin de reforzar el intercambio de
conocimientos y experiencias entre entrenadores de la zona.

Tarcisio Celestino, President of the International Tunnelling and Underground
Space Association, sets goals for the World Tunnel Congress 2017 in Bergen
From the 9th to the 15th of June, 2017, the
International Tunnelling and Underground Space Association (ITA-AITES) and the
Norwegian Tunnelling Society will organize the World Tunnel Congress (WTC) in
Bergen, Norway, where the demanding landscapes of mountains, fjords and islands
inspired a very early utilisation of underground space for transportation and
energy generation and storage.
As early as in 1909, the Bergen Railway
linked the Norwegian west coast to eastern Norway through 182 tunnels.
High on the agenda of the WTC event in Bergen
is the bringing together of stakeholders and highlighting the major issues in
tunnelling that are likely to dominate the next few years. The common passion
for “going underground” must be turned into a new means for global
responsibility.
That is why this edition of WTC will be the
occasion to discover the latest state-of-the art innovations in urban planning
and underground construction projects in Norway and worldwide and will focus on
‘Surface Challenges, Underground Solutions’ of which Norway’s technologies have
set the example.
A
dynamic and buoyant sector in a context of global economic decline:
Question
1: The upcoming World Tunnelling Congress will be held on 9-15 June, in Bergen,
Norway with the ambitious theme of “Surface Challenges, Underground
Solutions”. What are the main stakes and
expectations for this edition?
First, there is a growing awareness by the
public about the advantages of underground solutions. In some cases, the
population has reacted very well to initiatives by the Government when adopting
underground solutions to problems that had been considered facts of life. A
good example is the recent Porto Maravilha Project in Rio de Janeiro.
The construction of a tunnel made it possible
to see again the spectacular seafront view of the Guanabara bay and the Sugar
Loaf from the downtown region. The view had been hidden for decades due to the
construction of an elevated highway. As a consequence, a major rehabilitation
program is underway with major benefits for the real estate market and for the
population. In other cases, even more interesting, the people by themselves
have taken the initiative of finding underground solutions to upgrade their
urban environment. This was the case of the Boston Central Post Office Square.
The growing awareness has reflected in an
increase of the demand for underground solutions. Second, the use of new
technologies has brought many advances for the reliability and the decrease of
construction time of underground works. Both aspects will be covered in the
technical sessions at the WTC 2017.
Question
2: 2016 was another very successful year for the tunnelling industry. What can
you expect for 2017? Are there already
emerging trends for the tunnelling industry?
Even during recent years when the global
economic scenario was not the best, the tunnelling industry was experiencing
some increase. This probably occurred because of the reasons shown in the
response to (your) the first question and to the backlog in infrastructure
which still exists in many countries.
Now, there are indications that we are
approaching a period of significant increase for the industry. Per information
from one of our Prime Sponsors, new orders are increasing. The WTC event will
be the occasion to unveil a new survey on global tunneling market forecasts.
Tunnelling
Industry and Climate change or how tunnelling can reduce negative anthropic
impacts:
Question
3: According to the NASA Global Ice Viewer website*, glaciers lost
approximately 400 billion tons of ice
per year since 1994, with the Artic recording an approximate decrease of its
surface of 13% per decade… Climate Change is now and the report is alarming.
Sea level rise will impact mostly urban areas. How can tunnelling and
underground spaces development limit the harm that could be inflicted on urban
populations?
The most obvious way is by increasing the
capacity of stormwater conveyance tunnels, and by creating underground
reservoirs to store water during high tide storms. Examples are the
Metropolitan Area Outer Discharge Channel Tunnel (MAODC) project in Tokyo and a
parking garage and stormwater facility in Rotterdam and of course the
multi-purpose Storm Management and Road Tunnel (SMART) in Kuala Lumpur.
In addition to melting ice, climate change
has brought a significant increase in the variability of precipitation. The
occurrence of floods and droughts has increased. In my home city, São Paulo, it
rained more in just a few hours at the beginning of April than the historic
average for the whole month. On the other hand, we had the driest March in
decades. In order to mitigate the effects of droughts, the role of reservoirs
and tunnels interconnecting them for better management is obvious.
Question
4: Underground Spaces and Tunnelling planning have emerged as priorities among
the policies of the United Nations. Do you think this will encourage
governments to take action and develop projects in order to protect
populations?
The United Nations International Strategy for
Disaster Reduction strongly suggests planners to take measures which make
cities more resilient.
The excellent performance of tunnels when
compared to that of elevated transportation infrastructure has become evident
in many occasions, for example in the Loma Prieta earthquake in 1989 in the San
Francisco Bay Area. Dr. Aliye P. Celik, a sociologist, and the Chairperson of
the Habitat II Conference in Istanbul wrote in the WTC 1996 Open Session in
Washington, DC: “... Tunnels will be a useful tool for water and energy supply,
sewage and transportation systems”. I am sure that governments will more and
more need to show compliance with state-of-the-art planning for their cities
including the extensive use of the underground space.

Industry and Digital Applications: the future of tunnelling tools and programs:
Question
5: For centuries, the tunnelling industry has always required the most advanced
technologies: nowadays, what is the cutting-edge technology currently used in
tunnelling construction?
The evolution of tunnel-boring machines, rock
drilling and concrete spraying equipment, among others, is remarkable. In all
these, the extensive use of information technology has brought significant
improvement for productivity and reliability of tunnel excavation.
Question
6: Global societies have shifted over the years. The digital era is now on and
it’s impacting world industries and economies. How does the tunnelling industry
adopt these new tools ? (safety applications…)
The use of on-board electronics in equipment
for both mechanized and conventional tunnelling has increased significantly,
bringing improvement related to reliability of the excavations and decrease in
construction time. Similar progress has also occurred in monitoring underground
construction works with the use of fiber optics, information obtained by
satellites, etc. During the San Francisco WTC in 2016, a special technical
session dealt with these developments and their positive impact for underground
excavations.
Question
7: Do these new technologies create a new landscape in tunnelling employment?
If so, what are the most sought-after new profiles for the tunnelling
industry?
Mastering digital tools is essential.
However, understanding the complexity of the phenomena involved in tunnel
excavation (mechanical interaction with a ground mass sometimes characterized
by important variability) is still very important.

Como
parte de los dispositivos y operativos que instrumenta la Dirección de
Seguridad Pública y Tránsito de Chimalhuacán, policías municipales capturaron a
dos masculinos presuntos responsables de robo con violencia a transporte
público.
Autoridades
de seguridad informaron que alrededor de las 20:00 horas del viernes 21 de
abril elementos de la Región III a bordo de la unidad 311 realizaban un
dispositivo de seguridad denominado “Presencia”, patrullaje en zonas con alta
incidencia delictiva, en avenida Central del barrio San Lorenzo cuando vecinos
del lugar solicitaron su apoyo pues referían que dos personas asaltaban a los
pasajeros de una unidad de trasporte público del Estado de México.
Inmediatamente
se implementó un dispositivo de seguridad para neutralizar el robo en proceso
en el cruce de las avenidas Benito Juárez y Central de la localidad; efectivos
de la corporación aseguraron a Oscar N y Marco Antonio N de 41 y 38 años de
edad, quienes portaban un arma de fuego calibre 9 milímetros de la marca Águila
con nueve cartuchos útiles, un cuchillo de cocina, además de dinero en efectivo
de sus víctimas.
Por
los hechos, los imputados fueron puestos a disposición del Ministerio Público
para que personal de la Procuraduría Mexiquense realice las investigaciones
correspondientes con el Numero Único de Carpeta (NUC)
NEZ/NEZ/CHI/026/074703/17/04 por el delito de robo con violencia.
Cabe
destacar que en el último mes la Policía municipal realizó mil 344 dispositivos
y operativos de seguridad, con los cuales fueron presentados ante el Ministerio
Público 103 presuntos responsables de diversos delitos entre los que destacan
el robo, robo con violencia, lesiones y daños contra la salud en su modalidad
de narcomenudeo.
La
policía local pone a disposición de la ciudadanía el número telefónico de
emergencias 58-53-61-28 a fin de reportar cualquier delito o actividad
sospechosa. El servicio es gratuito y opera las 24 horas del día.
Vecinos
de la zona conocida como Corte la Palma del Ejido Santa María de Chimalhuacán
alertaron a la Dirección de Seguridad Pública y Tránsito municipal por un
masculino presunto responsable de robo con violencia contra transeúnte.
Al
respecto, autoridades de seguridad informaron que alrededor de las 14:00 horas
del miércoles 19 de abril, elementos de la Región VI, atendieron oportunamente
un llamado de emergencia en el cual referían el robo a una persona a quien
minutos antes la habían despojado de sus pertenencias.
“De
inmediato, policías municipales instrumentaron un dispositivo de seguridad en
la calle Pino de la colonia la Palma de la localidad, mismo que resultó en la
captura de Gustavo Hernández Flores, quien fue plenamente identificado por su
víctima”.
Cuando
le realizan la revisión preventiva el imputado llevaba consigo un teléfono
celular y dinero que había sustraído minutos antes con lujo de violencia.
Por
los hechos, el presunto responsable fue trasladado al Ministerio Público donde
personal de la Procuraduría Mexiquense realizará las investigaciones
correspondientes con el Número Único de Carpeta (NUC)
